LOVE THIS DIE!!

This is one of my new dies that I just LOVE and have been making cards using this.
It does take some time to get the hang of it but its so beautiful when you decorate it.

Various embellishments were used, the first card has a Mo Manning digital image coloured with Copics.  The second card has a 3D flower arrangement on the side.

Thanks for visiting!

Mixed Media - A new project!

I tried out a new project using gesso, paints and stencils. which is not something I would have ventured on my own, but a few of my near and dear crafty friends had me register for a class and wow, I really enjoyed the class and the new mixed media project on a Tote Bag!  Its getting all your fingers messy with the gesso and paints.  Its like being a child again!!

Heres a picture of the Tote Bag I made with the acrylic paints and stencils.

Hope you enjoy!

My little angel turned 3.

Ariella has turned 3 and she is my little darling angel.  She loves to dress up and has a mind of her own these days.  Her favourite show is DORA and for her birthday party this weekend, its a Dora theme.

Happy Birthday Darling Baby!!

65th Birthday!!

My sis-in-law turned 65 last week and she is also retiring soon, so I used a Bella birthday girl stamp.  I used white and lila cardstock and used different size dies for the layers, I coloured the image with Copic Markers and used liquid applique for the puffy look on the icing for the cake.  I used some purple twine to attach  the tag that says "The More Candles, the bigger the wish!".

Hope you enjoy this card!!

Cards for great friends!

I used a Penny Black clear stamp for this Retirement Card for a dear friend who retired.  It was stamped twice and coloured with Copic Markers.  They look so cute!

Second card, is a card I made for a friend's birthday a few days ago.  I used Graphics 45 Ladies Diary paper to make a stand-up card and this paper is one that I just love to use.

Please feel free to browse and I thank you for stopping by!!

Old and New

This year has been quite a ride….grandchildren kept me so busy I almost forgot to craft!
I love being a grandmother, nene (pronounced naynay) which means grandmother in Malay.  My little grand-daughter has shortened the word and calls me nains! Love them.
I also made a whole bunch of new friends but kept in touch with the old and the far away ‘old’ friends who went to school with me.  I met one classmate after 40 years and that was a huge happy moment, especially when I met her family now all living overseas.
New friends who are crafters like me, all in my age group, all know the songs from my era and we laugh so much at dinner that tears run down our eyes with joy!  I thank God for all my friends who have kept me young!! Bless you all.

I wish you all a Merry Little Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Cheers!

Daughters are Angels

I have two birthday cards that I made for my daughters whose birthdays are 5 days apart.
The first card is a purple and cream coloured card with an image from Mo Manning digitals of an oriental girl and this reminds me of my daughter wearing a red outfit just like that when she was two years old!

The second card is for my youngest daughter who likes vintage clothes, bags etc. so this is a cut-out image from the Graphics 45 Ladies Diary collection - this was most appropriate for her. her.  I also stamped a tall birdhouse image inside the card.
Thanks for browsing and wish you a great day!
